Request Data Deletion
You do not need an account to submit a deletion request.
If you want us to delete personal data we hold about you, you have three options. All three work whether or not you have ever signed in. Any option is equally valid under GDPR Art. 17, LGPD Art. 18 (IV), CCPA §1798.105, Washington MHMDA, and Quebec Law 25.
Option 1 — Email our DPO (recommended)
Send an email from the address associated with your account (or, if you are a client of a trainer on our platform, the address your trainer has on file for you). Put "Data Deletion Request" in the subject. Tell us briefly which data to delete (everything, or a specific category). We will confirm receipt and complete the deletion within the statutory timeframe for your jurisdiction.
Email dpo@catalysai.appOption 2 — In-app settings (trainers)
If you have a trainer account, sign in, go to Settings → Data & Privacy → Delete my account. This runs an automated deletion that revokes sessions, cancels any active subscription, and erases your personal data within 30 days.
Option 3 — Student portal (clients)
If you are a client whose trainer uses CatalysFit, open the portal link your trainer sent you and go to Account → Delete my data. This submits a deletion request to your trainer, who is the data controller for your file.
What happens after you submit
- We confirm receipt within 3 business days
- We verify your identity (by asking you to confirm details only you would know, like the email on file)
- We complete the deletion within the timeframe required by your jurisdiction (typically 15–45 days)
- We delete data from active systems, and from backups within the rotation cycle (maximum 90 days)
- We retain the minimum data legally required — e.g. payment records for tax compliance for up to 5 years, but those are walled off from active systems
If your request is denied
We may decline a deletion request in limited situations — for example, where the data is needed to detect fraud, complete a current transaction, or comply with a legal obligation. If we deny in whole or in part, we will tell you which data we are retaining and why, and we will honor your right to appeal (reply to the denial with "Appeal" in the subject).
If you are unsatisfied with our response, you may contact your national or state data protection authority (e.g. ANPD in Brazil, CNIL in France, ICO in the UK, your State Attorney General in the US, the CAI in Quebec, the OPC in Canada).
